Dr. Mark Giebel

Palmer College of Chiropractic Alumni

In 2007, Dr. Mark Giebel graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, located in Davenport, Iowa.  He is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, is Board Certified in physiotherapy, and holds an active Minnesota Chiropractic license.  Before moving to Iowa to attend Palmer, Dr. Giebel graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.

Dr. Giebel was born and raised in Burlington, WI. His interest in Chiropractic began at a young age when his mother took him to their local chiropractor to help with his ear infections and leg problems that prevented him from walking properly.  Dr. Giebel grew-up knowing the importance of regular chiropractic care for his entire family, and they continue to make it a part of their healthy lifestyle.

As an athlete, Dr. Giebel found Chiropractic care both beneficial and essential in keeping him healthy.  Active in sports his entire life, Dr. Giebel has engaged competitively in track and field, rugby, baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, volleyball, and cross country.  His appreciation for the outdoor lifestyle, including fishing, hunting, camping, biking, running, and playing with his dog has drawn him to Minnesota.

Family is central to Dr. Giebel’s life.  He married his wife, Kimberly, in May 2007 and have three energetic boys.  Kimberly and Dr. Giebel chose south-central MN as their home because they want their children to be raised, as they were, in an area that values family, hard work, and a sense of community.

Dr. Giebel participated in an International Clinic Abroad Program in 2006 which contributed the gift of Chiropractic Care to well over two thousand underprivileged Brazilians.  Dr. Giebel valued the experience, not only for the diversity of patients treated, but also for the opportunity to witness firsthand the life altering impact Chiropractic Care has upon people’s lives.

When asked why he became a chiropractor, Dr. Giebel replied:  “Since high school I knew that I wanted to work in a healthcare profession.  Chiropractic’s philosophy towards health made the most sense to me.  Chiropractic is based on the premise that the body has the ability to heal and that motion is an essential part of life.  The Chiropractic Adjustment removes interference from the nervous system by restoring proper motion to the spinal column and/or extremities allowing the body to function to its highest potential.  I saw how Chiropractic changed my life, and I wanted to affect others’ lives in the same positive way.”
